Peppermint Brownies

In celebration of the holidays and the favorite treat of December, I made rich fudgy brownies that were studded with chunks of peppermint bark. Just as you would like, they came out chewy, and gooey, and the best brownies texture that you could ever taste! Let’s celebrate December with these festive treats!

Cocoa powder and peppermint bark – our two main stars.

Cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla, and peppermint are added to melted butter.

Eggs and flour make our batter come together.

Peppermint bark is added to batter. Crisp, chocolate candy that melts in your mouth!

The batter is spread into pan and topped with more chopped peppermint bark.

Recipe adapted from The Red Spoon

My Adaptions:

-Do not brown butter. Use melted butter.
-Add 1/4 tsp peppermint extract in addition to vanilla extract
-Substitute walnuts for chopped peppermint bark
